ORMC’s Critical Care Unit provides an environment of healing and caring to meet the special needs of our critically ill patients and their families. Resources such as portable X-ray machines and ultrasound equipment, a blood bank with universal-type blood and controlled temperature to prevent shock, all ensure that the Trauma Resuscitation Bay is able to handle even the most complex situations at any moment. The Trauma Resuscitation Bay is fully equipped to conduct diagnostics, resuscitation, and surgery. Our Level One Trauma Center contains six Trauma Resuscitation Bays, where the most severely injured people from around Central Florida are brought for rapid diagnosis and immediate treatment for life-threatening injuries.
